Did you buy the Livernois kit new or used? Why did you decide to go with the older style kit instead of the new log manifold? You are not the first person lately that has opted for the older style manifolds.

I got it from another board member who bought it and never installed it, and he bought it from another board member that did the same thing. I my self have had it for a couple of months now. It was a good deal that I couldnt pass up, and I have been wanting to go turbo for a while. I dont think that for my power goals with this truck there would be any benifit going with the old style over the new style. We all know the log manifolds can make rediculous power. It just happened to be an older style kit that I got a good deal on.

Well I got so F'n irritated I had to quit working on the ho and start . WTF! The intercooler doesnt want to fit properly gonna have to rig up a new mount and I am probably gonna get one of TRT's intercoolers to replace it with. The crossover pipe aparently doesnt want to get along with the ear on the passengers side of the 4L80E, guess the possiblilty of putting the kit on anything that didnt have a 60 in it never came to mind. But hey it wasn't anything a sawzall and a grinder couldnt fix! I need to calm down and I will start back on it tomorrow. Its a good thing I didnt have any matches in the shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you just had the same two problems i had with my system during the install...

Grind off the Trans ear, check.
Make a new Intercooler mount, check.

Just wait until you have to install the Spark Plugs on the passenger side... I did it before i installed the header...

Looks good... nice clean engine compartment. Let us know how the TRT intercooler works out. I take that to mean you will move the intercooler up to in front of the condensor/radiator assembly?

Spark plugs were the first thing I did after getting all of the old stuff off.

I just ordered the TRT intercooler. I checked one out the other day on a local guys truck with an STS system. It mounts behind the bumper between the frame rails. It looks really clean and gets lots of air flow. I will then cut out a hole in the air dam for air flow. Wish I already had that SSS bumper that has been decorating my garage for two years on my truck. Now I am going to have to make new charge pipes.

It never freakin ends with these little projects.
