Default Radix installed, What pulley size???

Have everything installed, Boost Gauge shows 4.5psi WOT. Mods are in sig. whats the best size pulley to make more boost without having to spray meth or other cooling enhancers.

Drop .2 from whatever size you have now. I'm guessing you have a 3.4", try a 3.2"

man...only 4.5 pounds. I thought the stock kit will give ya 6psi at least. You are a 6.0L but interesting.

Well if he a bought a 5.3 kit (used etc..) plus he has headers, he could only see 4-5psi. I think he needs a 3.2 with the 6L to make 6psi, maybe even a 3.0 if his exhaust is flowing well.

Dyno it, power is what you are after, not a boost number.

oh i know, boost is just a measurement of resistance...i didn't mean to make it sound like he should be high in the boost #. I just would of thunk even with headers, big exhaust he would made a little more than 4.5#'s.

Sorry... I am high on painkillers, that was funny to me for a sec.

Okay, what kind of boost are ya seeing? But the thread starter is a 6.0 so he has more cubes to fill.

It is a new kit, Whats the difference in a 5.3 kit, to a 6.0 kit? Wouldn't more psi make more power?

nothing..no difference between kits besides tunes.

Yes more psi makes more power. But a restrictive exhaust also raises boost (resistance), so by putting on a smaller exhaust is a case where getting larger boost wouldn't work for ya. Actually once the blower is installed and you have established a baseline for boost readings, I'd be brave enough to speculate that any mod you did that made your boost drop would net you more power.

Dropping pulley size will increase boost and power if the tune is changed as well. It's not good to change pulley's w/o making changes to a tune as well IMO.

The Radix kit on my 6.0L makes 6 lbs with the stock 3.2 pulley. I have all the supporting mods plus a GT-7 cam, fwiw.
