Radix is finally on! One small problem!!!
#1
Its been sitting here in the box staring at me for 2 weeks. I finally let a local shop install it for me because my time is thin. First of all I am somewhat impressed with the added power. Its not as much as I thought it would be....
Its noticable when it downshifts and at takeoff. If you punch it and don't get a downshift, its not impressive at all! The whine is obnoxious and will take some getting use to but I do like it. I am getting good boost at 8lbs. My setup is as follows...6.0, Corsa Touring, Outlaw CAI, Radix Intercooled. Now on to my problem.... Got a weird squeeling noise at idle under the truck around the back of the engine. Maybe even inside the bell housing? Thought it was a belt at first but its not! At startup it takes about 10 seconds to start acting up and it never goes away until you take off. It does it in reverse, neutral, drive, and park at idle speed. I did not pin the crankshaft by the way. Do I need to? Anyway noise is not coming from there. Any ideas???? Thanks!

You have a problem. My radix install was a huge power increase all over, up shift, down shift, no shift, whenever. I know its there.
Verify your intercooler pump is running and that it has fluid in the reservoir.
Expand on the squeeling noise. I've never heard mine do anything like that. Fuel pump??? Does it have any funny idle issues? You sure you have 8psi? That is higher than the stock kit usually makes.

worst advice you can give someone that has a possible issue.
Does the noise sound like it is coming from the supercharger itself? What finish is the blower? Silver/Polished?
BigTex summed it up, if you dont feel the power all over then there is a problem we need to work through.

Ya, the power difference will be very noticeable at any point during acceleration. Dont add anymore mods until you get things sorted out, as too the sound you got me on that. Post up anything and everything you can about the noise and there will be many people here that can provide you with info...

Sorry to mislead you guys on the power issue. I guess its better to say that I expected more. I can definetely tell its there all thru the powerband. It just feels much more apparent when you accelerate from a dead stop or when you hit a downshift. It however is not that impressive to me when you happen not to hit a downshift when you mat it. I think its doing the job. My Autometer gauge is reading 8psi.
The sqealing is either coming from the torque converter area or the back of the motor. It can only be heard good at idle. It does not do it after initial startup until 10 seconds later. When the truck is cool it takes about 25-30 seconds to start up. It is probably there under acceleration but you cant hear it due to the supercharger. Man does that thing whine! When I first picked the truck up, this sound was not there. I drove it pretty hard stop and go thru 4 stoplights and that when it showed up at the next stoplight. It hasn't gone away since except at startup for a few seconds. Its not a crazy sqeal but you can hear it in the cab. Hope its not anything major
Any input would be appreciated!!!
One more thing. This thing is shifting like a dog!!! What is the best fix for cleaner, cripser shifts that will keep my reliability and not bang into gear when it shifts? Thanks guys!!!!!

Oh, do you have rear a/c and did your installer use the can of foam?...

Could that sound be the fluid pump? My truck is so loud that I don't notice that, but when I have the pump on while the truck is off, I can hear it whine and I can hear the fluids running into my relocated reservoir.

After you get your other issues squared away first.
