Default Radix+cam idle question

You guys with semi-lopey cams and a Radix what rpm are you idling at?

I don't consider mine lopey however I idle at a "high" 950. If I don't idle that high, I get that torsional isolator knock from the snout.

See i have a similar problem but not with the blower snout. Its from my belt tensioner smacking off its stop. Other than that my truck idles fine at 650rpm. I wonder if i could adjust my idlers or move to a longer belt would help?

I had the same belt tensioner knock. mine idle fine at 650 I wasn't sure what could be done. I was thinking maybe a shorter belt so the tensioner wouldn't move as much.

You say you "had" the same problem but no longer do? A shorter belt will only make the problem worse as it will make the tensioner ride even closer to its stop, which is bad for many reasons. Mainly because hard on/off throttle transaction will likely snap the tensioner from the abrupt stop of hitting the stop.

Yeah I no longer have that problem as I pulled the blower off and I'm going to trade my truck in on a nnbs. That is the reason I never switched to a shorter belt, seems like fuelslut was breaking belt tensioners daily so I just dealt with it.

that'll solve the problem.

Just do what i said hotly, turn your RTT for idling on and increase that idle 25 to 50 rpm at a time until it gets to where you are happy with the chatter and see how that is. I bet it's not as high as you'd think.
