Not sure if this should be under FI but close enough I guess.
Does anyone have issues with these wearing out prematurely? I have very few kilometers on mine, maybe 10,000 km or so. I have no belt dust, no belt issues or anything. But the last two morning starts have showed a very noticeable ticking noise under hood. Seems to be on passenger side and from tensioner area. It is cooler out now (snow on ground now) and I have not looked at this seriously yet as I am always late for work as it is. I was not even sure it was tensioner untill the last time I looked and noticed every once in awhile when it did tick the tensioner would move ever so slightly. Kind of jumped a bit. I don't even remember if you use the stock GM tensioner with the install or if one came in kit?! I am sure someone will remember and remind me.
All I know for sure is it is not a manifold leak, and it doesn't sound to be under valve cover. Maybe next week it will be warmer out and I won't make noise anymore. lol
