Default Radix 112 supporting mods

I impulse bought a good used Magnuson Radix 112 for my RCSB build. The kit was low miles and complete from what I can tell but I might need to upgrade the fuel pump. My truck is 04 5.3 with 4x4 and I’m also doing AWD conversion. A couple questions: (1) Is this supercharger big enough for a 6.0 or should I stay 5.3L (2) what supporting mods would go good with this older supercharger. ? Thanks for any help

Too small for a 6.0, just slap it on the 5.3 you have.

Don't waste your time upgrading the 112. Just add headers and a decent exhaust.

I kinda figured it would be too small for a 6L but had to ask. I know I’m not gonna win any races with the 112 just a cool reliable weekend truck. Any other mods besides the LT ? Cam ? Mill the heads ?

is it best for a 6.0? nope. It will still work on a 6.0. even low boost on a torque oriented 6.0 will still be a hoot

what are your power goals? i watched a guy make 700+ to the wheels on a LS1 with a 112... granted, he custom fabbed so many supporting mods to push that thing well beyond design limits to get there.

if you're only planning 5-6psi and not revving past 6000, then the 112 will work fine. just grab you some 60# injectors, a fuel pump, and some headers. check the intake ports - if they're the little dorito-shaped ones (for CARB compliance), port-match them to your heads while it's off. if it's an intercooled version, then one of them plenum spacers will help improve airflow & IATs.

I have a MP112 on a 5.3 RCSB Z71 and it’s a lot of fun. The Dragy says it does very consistent 7.4s on street tires on a non-prepped surface, spinning the fronts a little. I have a small cam, longtubes, 4” exhaust, 4” intake, and a single nozzle of meth. Stock torque converter, stock 706 heads. I’m about at the limits of 60 pound injectors and a 255 pump. I believe it has more in it, but it’s been too hot to mess with it lately. It’s quick enough for a street toy.

Those are snappy little ******* but they do like to get hot. I’d buy a cheap meth kit just to keep it cool and or a larger coolant tank
