I just got a great deal on some higher flowing injectors (big thanks to AKlowriderZ71). They are 47lb at 43.5 psi, so prob around 53lb at our pressure.

I am deciding if I want to pulley down to 3.0" from 3.3" currently or tune for E85. It doesn't look like I have enough injector for both. They should both net about the same gains, prob 40-50rwhp. And going E85 should be break even cost since I have to run 93 already.

So which one and why???

EDIT: They are 47 lbs. at 39.5 psi, so around 57 lbs. at 58 psi if these online injector calcs are right.

 

They may not be large enough for e85. You need 30% more fuel for if you want to use e85.

 

What he said above. I run 10# and my 60's are at 92% IDC at 6000rpms and thats with dual fuel pumps on e85

 

But it looks like you are also a 6.0 running a cam and 2-3 psi more than I would be. I have a KB Boost a Pump, as much as that may help.

But yeah, Wheatley and I think it will be close with E85.

 

i know you just got those injectors and probably don't want tot here this but sell the injectors get bigger ones and do both. but you'll probably need another pump if you do both.

Yeah, that's what it is sounding like. But for $175, as compared to $480 for higher flowing ones, I thought it will be fun for a while.

So how much injector will my fuel system support? Current setup is stock FF pump (I have heard 250gph from Injector Connection.com), return style, Kenne Bell boost-a-pump. Lingenfelter says this about the BAP here:

You should just have an install party at your house one weekend, supply the food and beer and have everyone come over and lend a hand wrenching. Back in the day we used to hang out and help everyone, I guess people have gotten too busy these days...

 

Yeah, wish we did that. It would be a great way to meet everyone, sadly, I've only met a handful of the people on here. I've actually started wrenching with some Grand Prix people because they get together almost monthly to help each other with projects. As much as I don't like front wheel drive, they have a few cars ticking off 10's and 11's.
