Hey guys. I figured it’s time to contribute instead of lurking. I also hope to spark my ambition as this project has been dragging on to long. I purchased my 03 back 16/17. A southern truck with good metal is what we worry about in Maine. The 5.3 had been swapped for a 6.0. I ran a200-300 shot through it for the year until she locked up like a jail cell door. The motor was tired anyways with 285 on it.
I’ll find the carnage pics. I decided to build a forged 408, weisco pistons, btr 400 plus turbo cam. Added a set of ported 317s. It’s been a bit. I believe west coast ported them? I’d have to pull some slips to be accurate. 3v trunion eliminatators we’re installed as well. I had a set of twin bwsxe63 turbos. So after some plumbing I had enough done to drop the cab back on.
I have a little bit more to go. I’m going to fire it up again in the next few days. It’s been sitting so I’ll reprime and give it a shot. I changed some things in the tune. That’s all loaded though. I still have some coolant hoses to plumb. Just to the heater core though. I also need to configure my fuel pumps as I’m using a radium engineering cell. There’s a lift pump and 3 high pressure pumps in the surge tank.
Yes those are the relays. For the fuel pumps. I’m going to re configure that this coming weekend with an improved relay box I secured. I should be able to tie up most of the electrical this weekend,
