Procharger idler bearings
#1
Anyone sourced an upgrade for these(Fafnir 203VV)? I believe the originals are only rated for something like 12000 RPM, but are spinning over 17000 RPM. I think their longevity is limited due to the fact that the grease spins out of them. I recall finding some higher RPM rated bearings in the past, but never found a source for them.

Any 6203 bearing will work(any local parts store should have plenty). The letters behind the 6203 just tell you what seals the side has, if any. For the price of them I would just run what you have until they start making noise.

The last set I bought from ProCharger were noisy from the get go. They told me that is not possible and to send them back. Never did and they only lasted less than 2k miles.
I normally buy either Japanese or German bearings and switch out when needed. Have almost 60k on the system and have replaced the idler bearings probably four times.
As I write this, it doesn't sound very reliable. WTF
