Default Procharger D1SC

Hey guys I'm a newbie here, and excited to be a member. Another thing I'm new to is Forced Induction, especially Blowers. I just recently purchased a kit, and wanted to know whether you guys think I got a deal or got ripped off??

It's a Procharger for 99-02 Chevy Silverado Trucks.

Kit did NOT include fuel pump, fuel injectors.

Kit included all the pipes, brackets and Air Filter.

-Upgraded D1SC Head Unit
-Upgraded 4 Core Big Intercooler
-Upgraded Race Valve Open

I picked up the kit for $3,300.00, Let me know what you'all think
How much does a kit like this go for? In other words, would it be considered a steal of a price, or just about right?
For peace of mind, be honest. I just want to know the truth hehe.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And question Number 2 What mods, (besides the 4l60-e) are recommended, without spending much more cash then what I've spent already (On the Procharger).

Do I need to get bigger injectors? If so what flow rate? Also will I be needing a better fuel pump? Or two?

My mods are: 2001 Chevy Silverado - 5.3 - Longtubes - CAI - E-fans - Posi/3.90

Thanks very much in advance, any help is greatly appreciated!!

I paid 2600 for mine when I bought it. But it was the p1 and the 2 core intercooler. Idk what the price is to upgrade the p1 to d1 or 2 core to 4 core? Mine came with the pump but i went with the 255 walbro instead of the inline. I'd like to upgrade mine to a d1 but my 80 swap is next. As for the 60e u might as well get ready to do a 80e swap because the 60 won't hold up. At least I've yet to find one that will. But seems like a good price to me man. I woulda bought it lol

Yea I know, I'm either going to get the 60e built with warranty, or 80e swap. And thanks for sharing some info, I don't feel too bad now I guess. Lets see what other members have to say? A lot of friends said that it was a steal of a price?

BTW did yours come with injectors also? Or just the fuel pump?

Thanks again for posting.

A similar kit new from procharger would set you back ~$5,000-5,500, so I think you got a good deal. I'm pretty sure I saw the kit your talking about on ebay, looked like it was put together fairly well. You'll need a larger intank fuel pump, larger injectors, and tune at minimum.

If the kit was new then its a steal , but if used the is about the right price , and you will need bigger injectors, get the 60# so you won't have to upgrade later, I'm sure you will want to do that .I paid $3600 for a new kit (P1SC1 , injectors and 2 core intercooler)

Find the coneection style of your injectors and replace them with matching ones to keep from using adapters or splicing new ones in.

my 5.3 came with USCAR type connectors and i chose ford racing injectors.

Cool man thanks, I'll be sure to keep that in mind when shopping for the injectors. As far as fuel pumps go, just a universal Walbro 255 will fit in the stock pump's location correct?

sounds like you got a pretty decent deal since you got the bigger intercooler and the open race valve , the valve alone is around 450 new.
