Your gonna have to pulley it way down to keep a D1sc at 10psi on a stock 4.8. My guess is that you'll have to pulley it down so bad that it won't make hardly any boost early.

A D1SC should make about 6-7 psi on a stock 4.8L. put on a 4" pulley will get you about 11 psi. It will really help on the top end.

Thanks for the input. I am mainly going with the D1 because there might be a motor swap in my future

My D1 with a 7.65 crank and 4.5 blower made 600 on a stock LS6. Boost comes on at 2500rpm

I'm curious to see how you like the D1 compared to the TVS. When I was choosing a blower, I decided on the Procharger because I really liked how the power delivery came on. Regardless of what people say, they produce plenty of usable power down low, yet pulls like a freight train up top. With an 80E, and stock HD 80E stall from Circle- D, it roasts the tires......even from a 30 roll. In cold weather, it'll go sideways sometimes on the 2-3 shift. This is in a lifted truck with 33" tires:
