What compression is your setup? I'm at 9.1cr, I dynoed 640rwhp with 14psi and a D1.

 

550-600+ depending on tuning and if your lq9 holds.

 

thats what Im looking for when I get my Head/Cam Lq9 installed 550-600 range....

 

I talked to jason at texas speed and performance he told me that I would have to forge the engine to handle the hp. So now I going to have them build a 408. Then maybe a 150 shot.

 

Tarinitup what shot are you using on your 402?

 

I'm using a 150 shot since I moved to the ls1 nitrous plate. It runs the same as a 200 shot on my old single nozzle. Your truck willl do really nice with boost and nitrous. Are you also going to do the 4l80e tranny conversion? Let me know when you come down to penwell in your new setup.

 

The Cash Flow Is Low So Im Am Going To Put A 150 Hp Shot Of Spray On The 408. I Have A Built 4l65 It Will Hold. You Have Good Numbers I Hope To Come Close To Them Maybe.

 

I'm sure your times will be the same or better. what are the details on the 408 like cam, CR, and heads. I recommend a little bigger cam than my 228 230. It has a good lope and low end is bad *** but it kinda dies down above 5600 rpm because the truck intake it is a pretty bad restriction. One of these days I'll put on an ls6 intake and bigger cam.

 

the cam is going to be 232/234 595/598 112, heads are dart pro one, cr 9.5, I have a 6.0 truck intake but would it be better to go with a fast intake.
