Default Be a problem to mount a turbo to y pipe?

i dont want to loose my long tubes/y pipe from LPP, so would it be a problem to mount the turbo to the y pipe or close to it?

Nope it can be done that way. A turbo has no idea where it is LOL

thanks for the quick reply!

that being said, im looking to start piecing things together. im looking for about 10psi as a DD, so what size turbo should i look for? going to be purchasing a used turbo to save money.

(i am serching btw, but there a tons of posts and im slowly reading through them)

You will have to use a pump to return the oil to the motor. FYI your headers will hurt you over stock manifolds and wrapped y-pipe. They dissipate to much heat and result in lower drive forces for the turbo.

I should have mentioned what KB said about the heat issue.Turbo's like heat, inturn spool faster. I would heat wrap your headers.

i figured they would hurt me, im just trying to save some money. i could prolly ceramic coat them to keep the heat inside the header.

Here's a thought, sell them and pay for part of your turbo setup since they will benefit you in no way anymore. I don't understand how keeping them is a cost saving measure. Ceramic coating will allow the heat to dissipate faster and cost you more money.
