Exclamation Which power adder on my flex fuel 5.3!

I can't decide which power adder to blow my tax return on, my options are Trick Flow's new top end kit making about 450 hp, Whipples new innercooled supercharger system claiming to make more hp than the Maggie or a Maggie supercharger for $4100 which could hit the power brick wall later or maybe even a long block 408 making over 500 hp, this is a daily driver, please help me decide with pro's and conn's!

When a company uses another as an example you know that other company is the standard to go by. As far as "hitting the wall" power wise, like just exactly how much do you want?

you need to let every one know how much power you want in you DD, I would go turbo with the 5.3. Do a 76mm or 80 mm and be done with it.

MY vote:Maggie! Or how bout a Trick Turbo? I personally wouldn't touch a Whipple w/ a 10' pole. Read some of the post around PT. Their customer service blows!! If u gave me 1, I'd sell it! Their customer service in no way comes close to Maggie.

I just pulled the trigger on the Radix 112HH on my 08 5.3 FlexFuel RCSB. I came to my decision for a couple reasons: 1) Completeness of kit, 2) it is my DD. Even if you can get more overall power from the turbo kit, _everyone_ I know that has gone turbo/Ls motors is/are constantly tinkering and tuning. I don't have the time or patience for that. The few positive displacement supercharged vehicles I've been in have been awesome. I wasn't as concerned with quarter mile times as I was stabbing the throttle and putting a SEG on my face, and IMO, the Maggie fits that bill. If you can still get in on the 112raw kit they Magnuson was offering, it's a no-brainer to me.

well I am interrested in making over 400hp at the rear wheel you know a 500 hp engine 12 second quarters would be great for know it's pretty quick with the mod's I have done so far especially on E-85!

Default Trick Flow!

The Trick flow kit is pretty nice for the money for my truck and it should be making about the same as the supercharger for only $2600!

Look into the TVS 1900 or the 2300 if you really want to let them hang

I like the TVS kits but they are a little out of my price range!

I would do a turbo kit but I don't like STS and they are the only one that sells a complete kit for my truck, I would like a kit that would have every thing for know and I could upgrade it later even a twin kit would be nice, but again out of my price range!
