Default Piecing together a sloppy inspired kit, need a little guidance.

Got a 2003 RCSB, so far I've already got a built 4l80e, trutrac and 410s. Engine is a stock LQ4 that's been in the truck for about a year and a half.

I'm liking that vs racing s480clone. For fuel I'm planning on 80lb injectors and a walbro 450. As far as a cam, I'd like something that's nice and choppy. Anyone make a nice choppy off the shelf turbo cam? Or do I need a custom grind? Would about 500rwhp be feasible on say 10lbs of boost? Who makes a decent T6 hotside? Anyone see something I'm missing go ahead and throw that in. Thanks.

Edit: I have both e85 and 93 available to me. I'd prefer 93. No meth.

Both the Isky triple 12 and the LMJS stage 2 turbo cams have some chop. There are many other options out there too.

500hp is possible but I can't say exactly what boost level will make the magic number, that turbo will support way more than that. Could be 8psi or 11psi, but nothing something to worry about.

Get a 2 or 3 bar map sensor, boost controller and that other jazz and you'd be on your way.

Yeah I know the turbo is a bit overkill, I'm hoping that it can do 500 on "lowish" boost, then turn it up and see what the fuel system can handle. Not looking for 1000hp, just a fun tire burner at this point. Thanks for the suggestions!

Anything over 400hp should do rolling burnouts. Just be careful with the stock motor depending on year, early motors are generally good for 550whp before you need to worry about a rod exiting stage left.

That's WAY more turbo then you need. 75-76mm would be plenty for your goals. An 80 would be pretty sluggish. Bigger is NOT better when it comes to turbos. Several guys make a pretty good t6 hot sides...

I run the vs480 billet on my stock bore 6.0 with gen 4 rod an piston, ported 243 heads, tsp 228r cam(not suitable but works), nnbs intake, fic1000 injectors, 4l80e with precision stall converter and it put down 736rwhp/672rwtq last saturday on the dyno at 14lbs. The turbo lights surprisingly quick to be so big. Last night i went to the track but couldnt get my back brakes to hold to get on the 2step so i had to leave at idle practically. Terrible, terrible sixty ft but still went 105mph in the 1/8th.

An isky triple 12 isn’t going to have lope in a 6.0.

Food for thought. It won’t take a big cam to hit your goals.

Probably gonna end up going with a 7875 and a btr stage 2 turbo cam. It sounds nice!

I've got the 7875 on my 5.3 and it lights off quick, on a 6.0 it would be instant! Should reach your goal pretty easily. I went with the LS6 cam cuz mine's a daily thru winter but in retrospect I should have went with a torqueier cam for what I do
