Default Supercharger question

I am interested in a supercharger for my 2000 GMC which has a 2003 LQ9 6.0

Summit racing has a kit I like:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/m...stionsanswers/

They say:
The Magnuson Superchargers 011959983BL will not fit your application. The engine calibration is different from 2002 to 2003. Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer a kit for your 2002 GMC Sierra Denali. Typically the 4L60E transmission does not need any internal modifications to handle a bolt-on supercharger kit.

What does that mean..... why can't it be made to work?

I used the Magnuson TVS1900 kit for a 2003 to 2006 model, retrofit easily to the 2002 Tahoe. Very minor adaptation:
Had to bend up a couple pieces of steel strap, and drill a few holes to mount my throttle CABLE bracket to the throttle body.
Took longer to paint the bracket than it did to " Fabricate " it.
. You WILL need to fit an up-rated fuel pump in your tank, not a big deal.

I know about that ..... a few years back my fuel pump went out so I bought one from Oreiley's and it went out the next day while on the job site and had to get somebody to drive to next town to get another.
Good thing we had a forklift on location!
