Default Phenolic spacer for Magnuson

Hello all, just recently started putting together a little mp112 for my wife's car and had to split the case apart to fix a few things. In the mean time I found someone selling some leftover RDS stock. Picked one up so cheap I figured why not.

Couple questions... I saw a couple threada where people used RTV on both sides of the spacer when reinstalling, is this necessary? It comes with a groove cut out and a factory Magnuson rope seal and O rings. Second, are people still running these with decent results? Any insight is appreciated

I do not see why a 112 would not benefit from this mod, any heat removed from that unit is a big plus.

I mean that's pretty much what I figured. He selling them for pretty cheap right now to pretty much a fraction of what they cost years ago. As far as the install what do you think though good with the seal provided like Magnuson
does it or should I sandwich a little RTV in between both layers?

No need for RTV. Use the seal.

Will do. Btw if anyone is still rocking these older mp112 blowers this guy still has a few left that are pretty cheap. I think when I checked last $165 with 20 shipping. Less than half of what they were new.

I found that listing as well and I am on the fence about buying it. Doesn't these spacers require injector spacers to be used as well?

Also, would the spacer between the heads and lower tub work just as well to limit heat transfer?

Ya I ordered 1/2" injector spacers from ICT billet. Should be just about right. Also I figured this type would be better as it's a barrier right before the IC.. but who knows. I figured it was cheap enough and couldn't hurt. I honestly figured they'd all be scooped up by now.
