Default paxton question

Long time reader, first time posting...be gentle

I have an 01 z71 tahoe 5.3 and have a friend who wants to sell his paxton supercharger to me for $1000. He claims that I do not need a any fuel pump or injector upgrade or a tune. I have always heard that you at least need a tune when going F/I. Any info is greatly appreciated...

You will absolutely need a tune, as far as injectors or fuel pump I stongly suggest both of them however if you are running low boost you could most likely get away with just injectors. I would do all three so you dont have to worry about it...

If you are running 8lbs then get the 44lb injectors and a upgraded fuel pump. Is this kit intercooled? If not then you might want to look into doing so or at least adding meth.

Injectors- TSP injectors

Fuel Pump-TSP Fuel Pump kit

The injectors have to be the Multec II's (shorties) you can use the standard LS injector however you have to space up the fuel rails 5/8" and solder and splice the injector wiring harness. If you go with the Multec II's they are a direct swap. I cannot say for sure if the link provided above are the Multec II's because it doesnt say however you could always contant a vendor to find out. These are just some examples for you.

Ya, if you are going to do it then do it the right way or else you will be dipping way into savings to replace a motor.
