Default P1SC billet impeller wheel swap.

So a little while ago i rebuilt my P1 and put a billet wheel in it from superchragerrebuilds.com. the outcome was great. So I asked if we could make a custom wheel for me, well after 7 months its done. I should have it in a few weeks and then install. Major differences between them is the new one is larger in diameter 6.2 vs 5.7in wheel. We are guessing it will flow around 1400cfm in my p1sc.

That's cool.
Will the added size still fit inside the cover?

Yes, the std size is 6.2. I installed a more aggressive wheel that was a 5.7. I made more hp with less boost. I liked it. Trying to see what this new design will show.

Okay finally got around to installing the wheel. first impressions are, Way faster boost build up. I did one little WOT blip and hit 14.5 psi. before I was only hitting 10.5, scaled back some timing but going to have to put it on the dyno to correct.

overall night and day difference in the wheel.f

Looks good! Did you have to work on the housing to fit the new impeller? Thanks for posting this!!

Good times!

No work needs to be done on the housing. It fits perfectly. I did however polish the inside of mine and and clean up some burs, made everything smoother.

Sounds good! Great info that I can use when I put a new impeller in my P1SC! I haven't had mine apart yet...it has been fine for 15,000 miles-just change the oil is all I do. But good to know about polishing the inside of the scroll!
Your gains are what I wanted to know; that there is a big difference from this mod!
Good times!

im surprised how 'not-aggressive' those wheels look compared to the billet turbo wheels ive seen. my evo turbo is a billet wheel and the fins are very curved and leaned over and sharp. maybe its a difference in rpm in each application?
