Not to pee in your Cheerios, but based on personal experience the paper element inside those in-line lawnmower fuel filters become clogged very quickly. Assuming the can does it's job as intended, there's no reason really for one anyways.

How are you routing the hoses/check valve?

Your not. The filter is fresh air in. And not a lawnmower filter. Lol.

Only reason it would get clogged or dirty is excessive blow by under boost, and since it's clear you can see it easily. And swap accordingly. And if blow by is that bad we can set a dual can so your covered in both air flow directions.

Here is how my truck and many customers trucks are set up.
The filter goes to the passenger side valve cover. I use a piece of hose and drop it behind the water pump area.
Driver side valve cover goes to the catch can.
Catch can to check valve
Check valve to top of the intake.

Under normal driving (non boost) the engine pulling the dirty/oil air into the catch can. Clean air to the top of the intake.
Fresh air is coming in through the passenger side.
Under boost the check valve closes and venting goes out the filter.
Once you lift vacuum restored to catch can.

You could set up that top intake hose to the inlet side of your turbo instead of the top of the intake. But you don't get as good of a vacuum pull on the catch can.

Breather NON PCV can is also available.

I keep forgetting you guys vent one valve cover. Even though I don't agree with that method, I guess it works and I won't attempt to cloud your thread with even more of that discussion. I will say however if that filter does get clogged with some blow-by, the setup is incorrect no matter how many cans you add.

What kind of filter is that if its not a fuel filter?
