237/235 613/620 lsa111. Idles at about 10"s but pulls extremely hard. Thank goodness for factory hydroboost. Pulling up in the staging lanes it was hard to fool People, I just told them it was a stock 6L with a cam. That worked until I stalled it up and had to let off at the light. I was trying to get my buddy to ride with me to watch the computer during the first shake down run. Didn't work out and a melted ****. It was a sucky night besides the crazy launch. I had to let out due to torque steer. I think it's time for a 14bolt and push button 4wd. The awd just isn't working out with hard launches. The front end likes to come off the ground and makes things a little sketchy.

I'd put good pistons, rods, proper rings in it, hone and button it up... Should be good to go. I honestly wouldn't worry about studding the bottom end if you're on a tight budget.

Nothing "budget" about 1000rwhp...

Make sure your fuel pump(s) and injectors are all up to snuff with the fresh motor so you don't go boom twice for the same thing... I'd recommend replacing injectors all together honestly.

The fuel pumps set up is good to go. But yes I already have the injectors picked out. In fact I was about to buy injectors during all the Build but it was Christmas time so I didn't. I was afraid the wifey would get mad.
After this she was like "really!" " you should have just got them". Lmao

Man, that is a large cam!

I've actually bought a baby cam and am downsizing from my 222/226 113. It idles at 13-14". People in the know are saying the smaller cam will push my turbo harder. We will see.

I built a little turbo setup for a buddy about 4 years ago and we did a rather large cam for the motor. It was a 4.3l and ran almost as hard as my 5.3l. Mine had a larger turbo but smaller cam. With the way it drive and ran I knew I could do a bigger cam. So with this setup I said **** it and went with a non typical cam setup. I have to say I am realy impressed. 9* of over lap at .050 and this bastard hauls!! The 5.3 on high boost can even compare to even half throttle on low boost on this motor. 14 psi high boost on this thing was just stupid. I've never had to fight the wheel like that before. I swear it was like riding a damn bull. If I had 2wd, slicks and a 14bolt the front end would have carried for sure. No doubt in my mind. I'm actually thinking about going to push button 263 case. I still need 4wd for things I do but awd is a pita to launch in this thing.

I'm truly surprised that 4l60 hasn't given up the ghost launching like that. The output shafts are TINY!

They have made some amazing new upgrade for the 60 in the last year!

It was a **** run being that I lost power by half track. I ran like a 13 lmao. Haven't done that In years!

I would put stock pistons back in it if you are on a budget. Wiseco pistons will be +-800$. Then rods, then studs, then ..... It just keeps snowballing once you go with aftermarket stuff. I would spend the money on a trans cause you know the 60e is begging for mercy.
