On3 Performance single turbo kit fuel economy, drivability, and emissions

Hi, new member here. I've read this forum for a couple years now, but this is my first post. I've got an 03 Silverado 1500 RCSB Z71. I'm considering buying the On3 performance single turbo kit in the near future. I was wondering if anyone has any input on what kind of mileage can be obtained with the proper tune. Is anyone running a high flow cat, and a muffler to pass an emissions test? This is my daily driver for now and I was wondering what drivability characteristics might change once I install the kit. Also if anyone has any factual input on why I shouldn't buy this kit, or should go another route, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance.

If you are looking for realibilty I would suggest getting a proven kit.
I've had a trick kit on my truck here in NY for 60K miles. It has passed every inspection w out any favors or bs.

I haven't really heard anything negative about the On3 kit. I looked at the stage 2 kit from trick performance, and it's nearly twice the price of the On3 kit. It's kind of hard for me to dignify spending that much more on a similar kit. I don't have huge power goals for this truck, I just want to be able to pick on some of the local diesel guys with their squatted daddy wagons

I just bought the on3 kit for and 04 Sierra. I'm putting it on this weekend. So far everything looks good. One thing I didn't like was how the turbo manifold exhaust from the passenger side was on the inside of the pipes. The holes that were drilled didn't match the piping from the exhaust port. But all I did was take my die grinder and I opened them up to match right and now all is good. Another thing I didn't like was the waste gate didn't recirculate Into the down pipe so today after work I mocked it up and took it to a welder and had them weld the from the waste gate into the down pipe. Only cost me 20 bucks so I can't complain too much. I'm going to post a thread up about my build as I go along. For the price I think this is going to be a pretty decent kit. It came with everything and it looks like it's going to be pretty simple to install.
That's how they were. I don't have a picture after I ground them out but now if flows with the way the pipes are bent

The 3 variables you asked about are universal to any forced induction application:
You'll use more gas with your foot in it, a lot more. Cruise will be comparable. "Your results may vary"
Driveability: like stock, unless you bolted it together wrong, chose the wrong parts, or chose the wrong tuner
The last one you'll want to consult with enthusiasts in your area.

My truck loaded with wheels and tires and other parts in the bed going up and down steep grades gets 12mpg freeway on E85, which is more than acceptable as e85 uses ~30% more fuel by volume than gasoline. I'm sure there are guys on here that are getting at least 18mpg freeway with their turbo trucks on gasoline.

Yes it's called a maf tune or speed density tune where the 02's are working, and keeping your foot out of it.
I only ever calculate mileage on freeway trips, on any builds I've done. My truck loaded with wheels and tires and other parts in the bed going up and down steep grades gets 12mpg freeway on E85, which is more than acceptable as e85 uses ~30% more fuel by volume than gasoline. I'm sure there are guys on here that are getting at least 18mpg freeway with their turbo trucks on gasoline.
