I'm not sure how the oil cooler guys do their feed lines but trick's piece looks simple and I wouldn't worry about it leaking oil. Here is where I ran my drain line.

I plan on installing the kit tonight. maybe have it all running by the end of the week.
Also my buddy bought his kit last night hes doing a lq4 swap with the turbo.
I would like to take a look at your truck sometime if you dont mind, just to get an idea of where everything is going to go.

Thanks for the pics guys!

Good luck on a 4wd, you can either unbolt the motor mounts and raise the motor and get the pan that way or, like my 4wd the steering stabilizer and front diff were in the way to get some bolts. So I just kept the pan on, drilled and tapped it, lots of grease and take your time.

I left my 4x4 pan on and tapped the front like that pic. Works great.

Careful of getting shavings inside pan though! Might be worth the extra hassle to take it off.

You can unbolt the front diff to drop it down a few inches and get the pan out.

For my feed I got the Trick plate, little expensive but it was worth it. As for the drain, i took the timing cover off and drilled and taped the bottom left side.

Bringing this thread back up from my search.

Does anyone T their feed line off at the oil sender behind the intake? I have seen a few people do it that way, one SBC and a 5.3l. Is there anything wrong with doing that?
