Default Oil Everywhere

I have an STS set up with a GT67 and .96 exhaust side. I smoked six pistons, took the motor out to be built and noticed my intake and charged tube full of oil. I took the tubo off and oil poured out from the exhaust side and charge side. Any suggestion?

Turbo oil pump issues. We saw the same thing when the scavenge pump was not working. It can also happen if the pump is running in low speed mode all the time, it dosen't pull enough oil past the bearings and the overflow dumps into the housings.
There is a test to see if the pump is working properly by grounding out the leads in the oil pump harness. You also might check to see if the hobbs switch on the pump assy is working properly. The kits have also been known to blow the inline resistor ( gold anodized with heat sink that gets VEEEERY hot ) which will cut power to the pump. The audible alarm should have gone off in this case but not always.

STS basically uses a lawn sprayer pump on a high performance turbo application...

The oil pump works. When it was running i pulled the oil cap off and it was squirting oil. I didnt know there is a high and low speed. One person from STS said it might be the check valve?

So what did you come up with? How are you going to fix the problem?

I also had a problem with milky white oil draining out of the tail pipe. Anybody else?

I am in the process of installing a second, backup oil pump.

It will use a seperate power feed and will come on if the primary pump fails.

I was at the track earlier this year. Hit a hard 2nd gear and didn't have the rubber booty on the hobbs switch for the pump. The switch terminal hit ground and blew the fuse, stopping the pump.

Oil was pouring out of the pipes and dripping out of the turbo.
