Default Oil consumption?? Need opinions/help.

Hey all. Not 100% sure this is a FI related problem but since I have the least amount of experience with the Maggie, I though I would post it up here.
What I have is a 03 5.3L with MP122, 3.1" pulley making 9.5 boost. The engine is 100% stock. I have 15k miles on the charger and a total of 50k miles on engine. The last 8k-10k miles I have been loosing oil at a rate of 1 quart per 3000 miles. There is no visible leaks of oil any where. No smoke at idea or start up but on a WOT punch I get a "Puff" of Gray smoke out exhaust. This is a DD and I am very easy on it... Should I be worried about this? Is there anything I should be changing or doing? Is this normal? Any info on this would be helpful. Thank You! Tyson

Sounds like he needs the catch-can and the older style PCV check valve.

I was almost 100% sure that was the case but wanted to be sure. Any suggestions on brand and type of can?

my truck does the same thing and i am NA. When i start driving it again (deployed) i plan on installing a catch can as well. It is very common, even normal on gen3 gm vehicles to consume up to a quart each oil change. I wouldnt worry too much
