Why not just run 5W40 Rotella T6, thats the best of both worlds in my eyes.

I think 15W40 is just too much.

15w40 is plenty for what you need, 5w40 is little too thin for hot weather and turbos

I've test a lot of oils but amsoil oil is hard to beat. Can for the money it cheaper than most top shelf racing oil.

40 = 40 but that makes it thinner???

When it's cold sure the 5 and 15 make it different because it stands for winter but when up to full engine and oil temp they should be pretty much the same visocity. If you have proof that it makes a big enough difference I'd gladly agree with it but either W40 will work.

A lot of people, myself included, have good use with the Rotella T6. Synthetic and designed for turbocharged, extreme heat setups. But I know the heat is more intense up north in quik's area, so I'll defer in that regard.

I've ran 15-40 Rotella and Wix filters since I owned my truck. It's N/A but I like it for the ambient heat we see down where I am.

Wix filters are the way to go.
