Default New turbo possibilities

So I'm pretty sure my On3's exhaust side oil seal has **** the bed because if it idles for more than 2 minutes it starts smoking just like my first On3 76 so I've got to fix this obviously. On3 sells just the center section but there is no reason why the seal wont go bad again in another like 20k. So Im wondering whats out there for other options that better quality than On3 but not breaking the bank. I know s480s are real popular but Im weary about it being laggy with the bigger turbine since I have a stock 4l80 stall still and probably will continue to.

The turbos I know of right now around the same size in the price range are

Turbonetics 78/75
Huron Speed 78/75
Trick 76/75

And if I went with a BW it'd probably be the 80/83
Im also going to do meth injection this summer too in case that changes anything too
Any input on any these would great!

The 3 turbos you have listed will bolt right into your hot pipes, the BW's will not. I wouldn't run a S480 on your setup anyway. A S475 will be a much better fit for how you use your truck and will make as much or more power than any of the turbos you have listed. But it's a 1/2 taller on the pedestal and a 4" down pipe.

My pick of the turbos you have listed are the Huron if you're on a budget or the Trick Billet 76 (which is a Magnum and a nice piece). For the cheap cheap, a VS racing 78/75 would be ok, but your back in the same boat as an On3 and Huron...

There is a precision in the classifieds right now that will be killer on your setup.

Thanks for the responses guys, its between Tricks and a S475 right now but Im talking to Kyle about a new downpipe since mine is getting thin from rust anyways

And since no one mentioned it having more lag from the bigger turbine in a BW isnt really thing?

There is a fine balance between "lag" and "top end power", which one do you want?

See thats the thing, with the 78 76 I got now im happy with. It doesnt lag bad the issue is my IATs get to too high, so hence I was gonna get meth injection. I just need a new turbo cause of the oil seal. So I guess im ok with losing some power potential the s475 could have. Plus I have a stock trans and I think im at a safe level right now, I dont know about after I get meth and possibly a better turbo than the On3

Thin down pipe? That does not sound correct?
Is there lag, REP will you feel the difference hard to say.

You can make over 700hp with one of our turbos, depending on how hard you want to push it. The more cost effective is a turbo swap.

I don't have any real lag to speak of with a t4 bw on my truck. I don't have any personal experience with the 75mm turbine of the small frame turbos to compare to but I don't think mine is any worse.

A larger turbo wont necessarily fix a high iat problem.
If the on3 center section is cheap enough, toss a new one in and look for your iat problem, find it, fix it and then when the on3 starts dumping oil again, go to a new turbo.
But if your killing oil seals that fast, im willing to bet you have high crank case pressures pr to much oil pressure in the center section.
Some turbos are very picky about oil, pressure in the center section.
