A lot of guys on here are not going to understand just how much altitude affects these truck, even being boosted. 10 psi of boost at Bandimere is like 7-8 at sea level.

I think the time is decent, and I'm sure you can get it better with some work. I was really surprised when my truck went a 13.2 with this new setup, I was only expecting mid to high 13's up here, but I can run mid to high 12's at sea level.

I really feel like it's the air and temps involved, I would imagine it should drop a full second at 0 DA and some 60 degree weather...maybe more. Do a google on NHRA altitude correction factors. I think it freakin' rocks!

Do you notice any difference in your times running with and without the meth??

I might just have to sneak my bottle in the truck.

Turbocharged engines are still affected by elevation, but they are the least affected by it when compared to supercharged or naturally asperated. DA corrections mean nothing to me personally since almost nobody races at sea level and if they did, would they run the estimated number??? Either way I do understand that altitude does have a role in how fast even a turbocharged truck is going to run.

I never run without it, so I don't know. I know I can run more timing with it. I'm running about 19* of timing at 11.5 lbs of boost with out KR.

Yea I guess thats true, they are the least affected. I feel pretty lucky...our 1/8 mi track is at about 660ft.

Couldn't have said it myself. Elevation and heat suck ****. Turbocharged or not. We cant all live in Texas or the mid west where they get negative DA's and there's VHT at every stoplight.

I don't think it's slow. Your track is at what 6000ft? So go down to sea level, add meth, add timing, brake boost more and you'll see another 10mph.

If the cars up there are as slow as they are down here, then a 13 second truck will scare and impress most.

Are you running a mail order tune?

yep! running mail order tune from Nelson. The guys I lined up with were like what is that thing doing here, tell they see me put on a helmet and fire jacket, after that I hand their *** to them. lol without the fancy wheels my truck is sleeper. I'd feel like an idiot too if I just bought a new GTO and got humiliated by a pickup.
