This thread has been cleaned up. keep it on topic or its gone for good.

The question was asked please answer it with respect. Anything else other than the topic at hand will not be permitted in this thread. Keep the A vs. B threads outta here, there is no need to knock the STS system or any other FI system out there. They all work.

Thanks,
BC and the PT.net Staff

Here's my truck on the dyno. I have no cats, no muffler and the WG is vented via a turn down. You can see where it vents and cleans off the dyno.

That sounds like an airplane, but the waste gate "bark" was very quick, and there was only one. Is this a side effect of flipping the gate?

Wilde, I see you have a BOV , this will also reduce noise from your wastegate as you probably already know. Mine makes a loud discharge noise (like a jet liner) under full acceleration but just driving around getting into boost a little bit it is a bit louder but like i said the bov helps to reduce the chatter and "relief" from the flipped wastegate. It might be in my head but i think the truck runs and sounds better.

Hmmm, sounds like the wife just might need to wear ear plugs from now on.

What you heard was the "angry turkey" noise from the compressor surging when I hit the freakin' speed limiter. Some of that noise can be attributed to the WG, but its mostly the compressor. Then right after that was the BOV, because I let off so quick because I thought it detonated.
