I won't be starting my project until March when the new LSX block comes out. But I have to have it complete by May for a national Truck Show and race

The 2.8 or 3.3 would be sick. I just installed the KB 2.8 onto my truck. I had to make my own inlets and outlets in a custom off manifold set up. You should get some test data to make you decision.

She is sooooooooo beautiful - 10lbs boost at part throttle. 25 degrees lower IAT'S and smooth as a baby's bottom. Unfortunately I blew the Eprom on the Flashscan cable and cannot tune PCM for a couple weeks. There are advantages to an off manifold setup with an IC. The IAT's are much lower. You will have to do a considerable amount of custom work by yourself if you go this route.

Nice! So you just bought a compressor and modified a stock side mount KB kit? Hard to tell from the pics, but I can see the blower outlet looks uh... 'custom'. No doubt the 2.8 will feed a larger engine better than before. Are you using a FMIC?
