New Eaton TVS Supercharged Motor

I would think that on the same motor 8 psi is 8 psi no matter what kind of pump you are using. You have to be moving the same amount of air against the same resistance to measure the same psi. The only difference I can see is running more timing if one produces a cooler charge due to better efficiency.

Yes, what Blown Chevy said is correct.
The benefits will be noticed in a cooler charge and lower power to drive the supercharger.
So if both units produce the same air charge temperature (measure after intercooler) and are at the same boost (measured after the intercooler) they will produce the same Gross power. Now you need to subtract out the power used to drive the blower.
Also, one thing to note, you also get the benefit of positive pumping work.. i.e. intake pressure higher than exaust and thats good for a few HP as well.. So you effectively arent loosing the entire drive power of the supercharger.. it gives some back. This point is often overlooked in the aftermarket.

I am unsure what the drop in torque on the R1900 graph is.. but i can assure you that the flow is not dropping off... unless the belt is slipping.

The cooler charge between two power adders providing the same psi can make a considerable difference in power. On my 2.4 twin screw I would drop 55rwhp between the 1st and 3rd dyno pulls due to increased IAT temps.

Back to the task at hand... The truck is running as of last Saturday morning. Still needs driveshafts, but hopefully he'll get around to getting those this week... Too bad they're talking about snow up here.
Here's the latest pic of the truck. I'll post some video of the first startup of the engine later on this week:
