Need some advice on a truck build
#1
I have a ls1 t56 combo with only 56k miles on it sitting at home, I also have a 2007 chevy new body truck with the 5.3 and 80k miles.
The ls1 was making 406/396 at the wheels and was cammed for future procharger install.
My idea was to make the drive train swap over to my ls1/t56 combo but I wanted to ask what could be reasonably achieved out of the truck 5.3.
This will be the shop truck for me just a street-able driver with a few track appearances. I want the t56 and I could put it behind the 5.3 but I wondered if I wouldn't be better off making the swap or selling the motor to fund a charger for the truck.

I had a cammed lq9/t56 in my truck...It was fun, probably around 375rwhp. I swapped it in favor of a turbo 5.3/4l80e...whole other animal. I guess my point is 400rwhp gets old pretty fast in a heavy *** truck.
