Default Need more power (pulley?sdtune?

alright guys i am running a 5.3 in a older vehicle with a whipple. has a cam good full exhaust, tune, meth etc. here is the thing....i need more. thinking of a 75 shot, but with that i might have to do a SD tune, i will have to check with the tuner to see if the maf is maxed or close to being maxed, seconed question whipple sold me the smallest pulley for my set up (with staying on a single belt set up) they said it was rated at 11psi, but it only make 7.5-8.5 i have heard of going to a larger crank pulley???

guys I need some input...help me out

Until somebody replies to tell you that a 5.3 with a single-belt Whipple should have more boost, I will tell you that a one-inch larger crank pulley is similar to a 3/8" smaller blower pulley. Whipple says that 1/8" = 1 psi. That is a lot of money to spend to get you to where they say it should be, but if everybody else says that 8-1/2 psi is good, then maybe a pulley is worth the price.

I think Whipple had the pulley made for me. The wires need to be removed from the bypass, and one of the lines open to the atmosphere. That way, it bypasses until you step on it. Here is a photo I got from this forum:

I would stay away from a dry shot on any vehicle....especially on a supercharged one. Going wet isn't that much more expensive and is safer when the boost kicks in.
