Have had this radix sitting foolishly to long. Its like now or never.Q.who here would run stock manifolds over LTs?Reason I ask. I put on a set of cheap LTs they were selling on ebay.It did pick up HP but they sometime rub I am getting faulse knock at times and they are louder with free flow cats.My reasoning is with stock manifold it wont put this as close to the edge of the radix fueling, likely be able to get a safer solid tune.I plan to tow a heavy trailer and want safety over every thing else. This truck does have a mild cam and 2600yank.One idea wast to ceramic coat the inside of the stock manifold to help flow. Appreciate your ideas guys. Thanks

Other option is I do have a set of AZ speed, which I should have put on in the beinging, then run OE cats, the AZs would need to be re-coated.$

I run manifolds due to heavy towing as well on the sub, with no real desires to put headers on, even though I have a local shop begging to use my truck to design 07+ headers. I just don't want headaches on the side of the road from my truck. Heck its my tow truck the tow truck ain't allowed to break, only thing my buddies have thats big enough to tow it are two F350 powerstrokes, and it just doest look right being towed by a ford.

I here ya, also it may hold more boost,I have been old school that header are one the first mods, but you always have to give up something when you do headers it seems.

huh? A free flowing exhaust may resister less boost (everything else the same) but power is still improved. Boost is a measure of resistance...Do the headers unless it is a legal concern for you.

Only reason I wouldn't do headers with a radix is a personal preference one. I hate the damn NOISE!!! Even if they don't leak you still get a lot more valvetrain noise through them.

Other than that I think headers are a great mod for any FI vehicle.

On my SS with headers and a 3.0" pulley(7.5psi) I was fine on the fueling deal. If you have a stock pulley there is no way you'd run into fueling issues with just headers.

Amen...Headers are a pretty good bang for the buck addition. If you're not looking for more HP and want to keep it quiet, then retain the stock manifolds. Most folks that add a radix on the top want to maximize HP and torque. Fuel eco ought to be better also with the free flowing exhaust.
