You are gonna need a much bigger filter than that if you want to run 15 psi. That tiny one will severely choke the engine.

Yep I have seen it done before but it takes a certain process to get it to hold up... I had a friend of the family weld up some cast manifolds years ago, but he was a master welder... He said something about preheating the cast then using a special type of rod or something like that...

Well im using a holbart 210 mig/tig welder with shielding gas mixed with sum diffrent kind of gases so it can stick together, the two diffrent materials. It seems to hold on together pretty good ive done this before welding cast iron with steel in my old set-up like similar to TRICK'S front mount style log manifold, but i changed my manifold with this wich i like it better because its a much thicker material than the 16guage pipe i used before. And thanks for everything ill post more pic's of my set-up later on on so you can see it better.

well here is my old style log manifold you can see at the bottom where i welded my stock manifold conector flange wich is cast iron welded to the steel material it holds pretty good. And i have a almost compleate left over kit here in laying around i might sell it cheap later on it would work prety good with my 5.3l.
