When I was running megasquirt to control my fuel I had to add an extra iat and temp sensor for it and accidentally wired one of them backwards which screwed up the temp reading. I don't know why it did this since it's just a resistance reading but as soon as I switched the signal and ground wire it was perfect.

Hey Dan,

I'll take your other stock cooler if you pull it off. It's all that fits on the H2's tiny grille opening.

I did finally have to dial back timing on my combo. I was able to run 21 degrees of timing without retard when I was at 11-12 psi. Now at 15 psi... 15 degrees is all it likes. This is with no meth injection. I have not reconnected the system yet. IAT readings have not really changed either from before. Just a little bit warmer up top but not the incremental gains in temp seen on the Radix.

Sooo.. it still appears that heat as registered on the IAT sensor is a relative constant across boost from 8psi to 15psi. Further demonstrating that the Kenne Bell and Radix are not comparable in IAT discussions rooted in what the sensor reports. The Sensor is mostly reporting case temperature which runs about 110-120 degrees. The gain under boost is probably accurate of course... but in relation to what base temperature? Is air temp inside 80 degrees + the temp gained under boost? Is it 100 degrees + the gain under boost? No way to know at this time. Certainly not as simple as the Radix.

I just ordered the S&B CAI. I'm gonna move my battery back where it belongs and route 4" aluminum tubing over to it. Either that or I'm gonna see if I can cut the fender hole on the drivers side a little larger and make it fit over there. Either way it's gonna be a half a day job.

It's still enjoyable reading your posts

We can have inlet temp wars between your Truck and DH's. His Radix hits 160-170 degree's on a pull at 8lbs. 6lbs only hits 140 degree's, 12 goes to stupid temps.

according to W2W my pulls started at 170 and climbed to 240*.

It's craziness. They market this blower to push 23lbs boost. That's great, but first off, you can't get to 23lbs boost without overspinning their blower and Second, you can't get to 23lbs boost without melting **** cause it makes so much heat.

Next time I hit a dyno I'm gonna unhook my cats and run open headers to see how much restriction they exhaust is.

Obviously not 23 lbs of boost on a 400+ ci combo. Smaller displacement for that level. You can hit 18 psi on a 400 + combo.

Take out your cats and retune for it. Like I said before, I gained a great deal by removing the cats.

That 170 still looks like a heat soaked condition. Your combo running down the road is just like mine now... 110-120 degrees as reported by the IAT as you start a pull. And you gain about 70 degrees of temp during the pull.
Logically, the temp gained on the dyno by W2W and as seen by you on the road is the same. The start of the run temp was different and likely heatsoak. Its not magic.

I dont get it, hell my setup before I intercooled it never seen temps that high at 10lb..... 185 was the highest I even seen them. Something just doesnt make sense to see IAT's at 240!!!!!
