I remember those days.I gave a quote and it was thought to be too high but he found out the hard way and it was more somewhere else. Live and learn I guess.

yup, just over 2 years ago when i started this plan i was very confused about a lot of things. didn't know who to trust or believe. made some poor decisions. If I could go back and do it all over again I either wouldn't do anything at all, OR i would have had SDCE or Dez install the 408 and put on a F1 procharger. Why everyone on tech convinced me to go turbo is beyond my comprehension. seems like a gigantic pain in the *** to me.

oh, and i was told today the truck SHOULD be done in 2 weeks. I don't actually care when it's done because it's winter.

DHPro went to a few other shops that knew little about LSX motors and the setup didn't work and gas washed the motor. After it was done he found out I only did LSX motors and could of done it all no problem.

Matt- I never have a clue what he's talking about..LOL

The worst thing that alot of shops do nowadays is under cut each other. They throw a lowball price out to get you in then rack up the bill. I try to be as honest as possible and lose alot of work from new people to other shops but then they find out the hard way my price was legit.

It's too bad I didn't get Dans truck in the beggining. It would of been built like Matts truck and I doubt any problems at all since Matts has had 0 problems all year.

Good luck Dan. I hope to hell they find the problem so it runs good longer than 200 miles at a time

I just wish you would keep your truck after its "done" and enjoy it... although I could understand the lack of enthusiasm after spending money hand over fist and not budgeting for it. I rebuilt an 85 Corvette from scratch... $30k and 4 years later nobody could convince me to keep it. I guess there comes a time... hope it hasn't come for you... trucks and turbo's go together so well I drive mine everyday. Hope you reconsider after reviewing final touches from W2W

Happy Thanksgiving
Bill

Kinda hard to swallow I know! Especially when you see other people's system's work so well! I kinda went without a budget either thinking at least it will be done right but found out it's not the money you spend but who you spend it one! I got no problem paying for work if it's done right which some of us aren't so fortunate!
