Default My I/C sprayer works!

A while back I rigged a spraybar to spray my intercooler. Tee'd into my WW line and sprays the I/C. yesterday I was driving down the road logging just for the hell of it, IAT's were at 70 deg. sprayed the I/C for a couple seconds and about 5-10 sec. later temps dropped to 64. I wasnt thrashing on it at all but thought it was pretty cool I dropped 6 deg. just spraying my I/C

what was ambient temp outside? I've played with a similar idea and seen drag cars that spry NoS, but seems expensive!

Try spraying 100% meth on it and see what happens. I know when I get it on my hands they get alot colder than when they are wet from water.

Does it still spray your windshield? Do you have a valve you can switch to by pass the windshield, or do you race with your wipers on?

race with my wiper on lol. At the track I would spray it while waiting in line to run . Once air hits it it makes it much cooler. Kind of like if your hand is wet and sticking it out the window, once the air hits it feels much colder.

I have been toying with the idea of using a nitrous solenoid with a CO2 to spray mine. If you start dripping fluids onto the track spraying the intercooler with WW fluid, they arent going to let you race.

The water spraybar sounds perfect for the street. Cheap to re-fill

Any liquid or gas that hits the intercooler and expands/evaporates is going to take heat with it. How much does it cost for a CO2 fill and what size bottle would you need for some passes at the track?

CO2 bottle and nitrous bottle one in the same. But remember once you put CO2 into a nitrous bottle, its a co2 bottle.
Co2 is cheap cheap cheaper then nitrous any day.

For daily driving vehicle a mist of water will go a long way, but in the end water/meth is still the better option. in my opinion.
