stick always mph better then a auto when all else is left alone. its the slip in the converter. 6 mph is pretty typical but it varies depending on converter tightness and the type of tranny, a 4l80 or a c6 absorb way more hp then say a 6 speed manual or even a 2004r like i went with.

thanks guys, i think i have every thing sorted with maybe the exception of running a different cam other then the z06 cam, does any one know who the top guy is for cam suggestions?

You also tend to MPH better also when you spin....doesn't mean it will ET better....

i also and a honda nut and i have built some pretty nasty fwd cars and yes they like to spin and we always see a little more mph with a spin luanch vs a bog and hook launch.
update on the 4.8
ordered a fast 102 intake today , decided to stay with the z06 cam as i cant find any one who knows much about turbo cams and the 4.8 .

really there is full size trucks with 4.8s on here running well into the tens making a good amount of hp....FOOSE04 is one of them an i beleive that he has the fastest 4.8 in the nation so he would be someone who u would want to talk to u....also Tellez Motor Sports whoi is a sponcer here has a 4.8 and a 5.3 well into the tens...Or PM Roadkill he will help u out as well getting ur goals

yeah i asked foose about cams in a pm and he said he wasnt able to recommend any one. its ok from digging around i found that there isnt really gonna be a custom cam that will greatly out perform the zo6 cam in a 4.8 , im not looking to swap the cam for any less then 25 hp gain across the board, peak hp isnt as important to me as power under the curve is.
