Default My Fuel issues solved....

Got the new 255 so when I took the bucket out this time I was determined to not have to drop this tank again. I took a uni bit that was good for 3/4 inch. I took the stock filter off and drilled from bottom of the bucket to the inside. That opened the hole big enough to get the head of the new pump down below bottom of bucket just like the stocker. I did have to knock out the little wall on the inside that went around stock head of the pump, it was easy use a dremel. Then I had to widen the bottom to fit the new filter just like the stocker. Everything looks and works like stock so I am happy. Put the tank in and cranked her up then went for a little drive. The fuel pressure at idle is about 58 psi and when I romp it it goes to about 66 67 ish and holds. The only thing not holding now is my tires......but I can deal with that. So if anyone has a pump that isnt holding psi under boost and doesnt hold pressure when the truck is off then I suggest you look at your intank. Hope this helps some people out.

I may need to remove the pump and do what you did since it probably works better than sticking the filter inside the canister. I installed the same pump and mine does't hold pressure when it's off. You think I may have a defective pump?

I did that once before....most people can get this far then just do the same. Just got back from a couple wide open passes and 1st gear is useless.

now here is a good question.
what was your fuel pressure before when you got tuned for the turbo.
with a higher fuel pressure you may need to retune it.
should lower the duty cycle some on the injectors.

Default Pump question

Nice work Ruffrider! Did you zip-tie the new pump in the bucket like others have done? It looks like you didn't, but can't tell for sure. I still don't understand the 1/4 tank rule either, the gas still gets siphoned from the bottom(especially the way you installed it.
My new 255 pump should be here tonight. I've got a spare pump module so i'm gonna go play!
