Default Mushroom Filters

I realize most guys here run STS kits. But for those who dont.

Any opinions on "mushroom" air filters for turbos.

Space is tight around my turbo, and running a 3" piece of pipe just doesnt work. Most guys relocated their battery to the bed, and put a cold air box in its place, but its still right next to the turbo.

I known the Supra & Skyline guys use these all the time, but i was wondering if any truck people use them??

Do you have a brand and part number or picture of what you are talking about?

I did the Google and didn't find anything.

I like the K&N much better, but I see how they can give you more clearance.
