I think on the trucks the "front" of the blower is facing the rear of the truck. So it is still a "front" inlet. But I have wondered how this compares to the carb style(top) inlet design.

You are ASSUMING that is was from back to back pulls and suffering from heat. The one thing I can say is I would lay my figs on the blower housing after each pull.....I would not touch a screw blower housing after a pull like that.

**note** if you pay attention you can see the manifold air temp readings and they do not fluctuate more than 10* +/-

I did think about it before I commented. (referring to the edited out part). I wouldn't have assumed Kenny to have made a tuning change to drop that much in one shot. I also noticed that the camera was shut off before that third run was made so I assumed that there was some kind of cool down happening. I would take that 122 over a similar sized Whipple or Kenne Bell blower any day. The Eaton line of blowers is outstanding. Keeping in mind that the blower at hand is only a 2.0L, it makes outstanding power. For their size, it's hard to beat the power output they can produce. I'm not sure how many have noticed (it's something I looked for in the first video), the crank pulley on that looks like a stock pulley. Now that's making the blower work for you.

the IFD blowers can be over driven in the rear, more than likely that is the case here. I will verify the pulley set up and let you all know.

I remember that from one of the posts from along time ago, but it's still an impressive amount of air being moved with using the stock crank pulley. Looking at that and the throttle body, I think that may be where some of it's 13.5psi came from. That is one very nice direct shot from the throttle body straight into the blower.

going from a stock damper 7.5" to an 8" is the equivalent of two blower pulley sizes, its really not that big of an increase, but every little bit helps

the 122 produces, 750ftlbs, 725hp.........what else needs to be said?

With a correct setup 600rwhp is a pretty-good representation of what the 122 is capable of, more for exceptional setups, less for those that fall short.

One thing is for certain if you want a tire roaster this is the setup for you

Im guessing your setup is one of the "exceptional" ones huh?

I really don't know. I'd be extremely happy with 600rwhp. My goal is 550-575rwhp so anyhting above that is gravy to me.

Only if you can't control your right foot.
