Low end tq is great to a certain extent and this setup Im sure has it but I know even na with a stroker I could spin all four on the street. I gotta ask where is the point of diminishing returns as far as low end tq goes. I realize you can use your right for to modulate the throttle but a setup that can hook and put the power in the powerband where it is useable is going to be a much faster setup and easier to drive. Im glad to see the 122 makes good power but Im still not convinced as to where a blower of this size has its place. Atleast the 2.8KBs and 3.3Whipples are big enough to give some lag down low where a stroker is already going to be making enough tq to spin all four in a 4wd/awd setup. Just my opinion for what its worth.

Nice result's.

I'm just not a fan of engine dyno's for shooting #'s. Yes the #'s are good but nothing incredable for a FI,pump gas,400+ci motor on an engine dyno.I would figure 550-600rwhp with a truck driveline.A few years ago it was the **** but with todays tuning software and technology sometimes anything under 700rwhp DD seams slow

Hurry up and put out a bigger Magnacharger already

A setup that hooks outta the hole might be easier to drive but, with someone who knows how to modulate their setup right more power would be faster. I mean if you have excess power outta the hole and you know how to take off without spinning then you can gradually bring in that extra power.

I wish I had another couple hundred lb-ft of torque in my truck.

I was speaking in reference to a setup that gave you the power to the point of loss of traction all the way up to peak hp/tq. Like a speed based boost controller

It just seems this "small" of a blower makes so much low end tq it would be better suited for a 6.0 where the motor doesnt make so much down low tq and be a bit more driveable out of the hole, whereas a 400ci+ motor would be better with a tvs2300 or one of the other big blowers.

Thats all Im getting at not that its a bad blower just IMO its not well suited for a stroker on the street, although 4wd drifts can be fun

IMO, the best thing about these blowers is the part throttle response and the ability to get as much power as you want when you want it. I'd rather have too much torque than have to wait on power to build up. On a streetable / driver truck or heavy SUV, all that torque down low is really great.

part throttle response and throttle response period.

Yes you are all right, part throttle response is a big deal but with a stroker motor you already have the tq thats what Im getting at. Have any of you talking about part throttle response driven a decently cammed stroker motor? Im not trying to pick a fight in the least but I have driven a radix truck and I have driven mine and I would much prefer mine with a big blower or turbo to give me more power on the top end where I can use it instead of fighting torque steer and 4wd drifts all the way through first. With the 80e it may not be as bad but I havent gotten to get into the new setup hard yet. My main thing is my old 418 was absolutely violent on the street in 4hi from a dig, anymore power and I would have put that thing into the vehicle next to me or over in the ditch.
