Default more boost from whipple? also low vacuum on the highway

i currently have a 6.0 with a sidemount whipple supercharger. 224 duration camshaft that was custom ground for boost. i am making 6lbs and peak at 7lbs. my pulley is 3 5/8. i would like to go smaller but whipple guy said thats the smallest they make for my blower. i have the single belt system, i was also thinking about the innovate west pulley, but i would ratther down size the pulley if possible

my other question is that at cruise at 70mph it always stays around 0psi and no vacuum. i am wondering if it is something that can be adjusted witht the bypass valve or maybe use that solenoid to control it on the highway so i make vacuum.

i am only running 44lb injectors so i have to come up with some bigger ones befor i make more power but i would like to get things figured out. thank you for your input

Well whipple used to make smaller pullies then that... As for cruise, you should be pulling vaccum while just cruising. Something is not setup right, also what are your cam specs?

The bad thing about spinning that whipple faster is your hot IAT's. You are going to need meth or a intercooler to keep them in check.

I am not sure what blower you are running but I have on the shelf a 3.375 for a 2.3l whipple that we ordered in and never used....would sell it for 140.00 shipped....

Try unlocking the converter and see if vacuum increases. In 4th when mine locks vacuum gets very low.

How low are you talking? What is your vac at idle. Stock cam idle vac should be around 19 depending on idle speed, with your cam I would guess 15-14" at idle.

The cam is usually around 11" at idle, and 55kpa. Goin down the highway with converter unlocked it's about 8". Lock the converter and it's 0 and hits 1 psi climbing small inclines

My truck idles about the same. 10 in and 55 kpa. At 70 I see about 5-6in of vac with the procharger. Do you know what the kpa is when you are at 70?
