Default Methanol Pre-Turbo

I was reading over on YellowBullet and suprised alot of the high HP guys are spraying a small nozzle pre turbo.

Says it makes the turbo more efficent?

never seen anyone on here use methanol Pre and post turbo.

Seeing as how most turbo wheels are aluminum, I wouldnt recommend it...

there is some benefits to pre turbo, but its very corrosive stuff. i would think it would puddle in the bottom of intercooler. i very small nozzle may work. i just use one nozzle right after intercooler and another 12" from tb.

You better have a good nozzle too, I cringe thinking about any liquid hitting a impeller spinning at 70,000 rpms.

There has been TONS of debate over this as to whether it will damage the turbine or puddle. The general consensus I found was that you want to have a good nozzle that is properly sized and is pointing directly at the nut on the turbine. As far as puddling, I hear it doesn't do it and no worries about the meth corroding anything. It will be vaporized in the compressor. When I do meth I will be calling Julio at alky control and he will more than likely recommend one preturbine and 2 pre throttle body and that's what ill be doing

Spray water pre turbo and it will not hurt the wheel.

If the spray is fine enough and you spray the correct amount you shouldn't hurt it.

Guys doing it also with prochargers, but I am with Atomic. Being aluminum, I don't think I would do it.
