does methanol allow you to run more boost? Also bye itself does it add hp?

 

methanol allow you to add more boost and/or timing becuase it lowers the IATs. It can also help out if your injector duty cycle is too high.

 

it will let you run quite a bit more boost than pump fuel alone as long as your compresor has more flow avaliable.

i gained just a little power adding the meth. my guess would be 20hp or so. then pulled some fuel to get it back to 11.5/1 and with that i gained a little more. maybe another 20hp. the big gains are with added boost. i was able to add 200rwhp total once i turned up the boost.

 

more so of an octane boost if anything.

 

dammit, I forgot about the octane boost. Ive been researching it lately cause Im sure it will find its way on my truck before long. Got to wait til I can afford a tranny before I add too much more power.

every set up will be diferent. i was able to add 5psi. i went from 11psi max before KR up to 16psi with the meth. tuning will be required to get the maximum benifits.

 

to bad i cant upgrade the god damn vortec fuel injection.... unless i get another $1500 together...

Does the meth injector need to be before or after the MAF? My MAF is about 3 in. from the TB.
