As long as the pump is below the resevoir level you should be fine. What kit is it?

Gravity feed to the pump is best. If it loses its prime it will stop spraying. I had it happen on my STS kit when I was using it. These pumps are made to push fluid out not to pull it up. So yes that is a little far away from the source and trying to pull fluid through a small line as well.
I mounted my Alky Control pump to the inside of the passenger side frame rail just behind the rad support. I ran the line from the washer tank along the rad support. I mounted the pump upside down and it is shielded by the plastic shield that is mounted across the frame in front of the engine. It is almost straight up from there to the intake on my STS kit.
Did your pump prime itself were you have it located? The worry is when the meth in the tank is low and below the level of the inlet to your pump.
The other concern is the location of the nozzle in the intake piping. If it is lower than the highest level in the washer tank it can siphon meth into the intake when the engine is not running and possibly cause a hydro-lock.
It is also a good idea to have an inline filter between the pump and the intake nozzle and to clean it out once a year to filter out any small material that gets into your washer tank when you fill it. I think Julio uses a 90 micron filter.
Good luck!

my alkycontrol kit on the boosted vette uses the wiper tank as a reservoir (the vettes have a float and fluid level which works out great) and its mounted behind the driver's side wheel outside the frame rail inside the fender cover, so as said before it gravity feeds....Also I tapped teh back most lowest spot of the reservoir for the pickup...that way when the level is questionable and I'm on the gas its got its best chances for spraying.

ask me how things go when you get on it tuned for meth and the tank is too low...

survived for a week or so then the head gasket showed its colors.
