Anyone know of fuel pump that's rated for meth and not $500?

So far all I have found is that Areomotive pumps may be meth compatible.
I may give their tech line a call tmrw and ask.

 

Are you looking for a pump for "meth injection" or a pump to actually run the motor on methanol?

 

I was looking to make a stand alone aux fuel system for meth.

Assuming I can find a pump that's not too expensive.

 

So do you plan to run the entire engine on meth, or just suplement your primary fuel with meth injection? If its the later, alky control is about the only pump that says it will work with 100% meth.

 

Got ya. I was hoping to supplement for now, for heat management. But as I wanted to turn up the power I was considering using meth as the added fuel.

I am open to using similar fuels if fuel pumps are available.

Only one off the list is E85 'cause I cannot find it in the Boston area.

 

Added fuel = supplemental fuel

Going 100% meth is a whole different ball game than spraying some on top during boost.

 

I think he is trying to use it as we do with the alky kit but with 8 actual port injectors rather than a single nozzle, or even 8 nozzles.

 

Yeah that's the thought I have, starting with two smaller injectors in the intake tract and then move to an additional 8 if necessary.

 

Well lets back up a minute and as what your goals are with this. If you dont want to spend $500 on a pump you sure dont want to get into the level of project you are talking about here. What are you looking to accomplish?

 

Yeah I hear where you are coming from. I do sound a bit cheap with that question. lol

SO end goals are 1000 tire, And I understand I wont make that on the 4.8 that I am running, now nor will it be easy.

Eventually I want to transition to maybe a 50% meth content under boost. (what ever ends up being the golden ratio)

Obviously I don't need that much now. I could get away with standard high pressure PWM set up, but id like to start building the fuel system now.

I was hoping to to find a commercially available pump that played nicely with meth, and just add a second when necessary. looks like that's not as easy as I was hoping. Maybe Ethanol would be a better fuel as there are E85 rated pumps more easily available?
