If Im reading this correct, the extra voltage from the BAP would be backfeeding into the FPCM. Im not saying it wont work, I just dont see how it is working with the FPCM and not freaking out the BCM.

He doesn't have an FPCM, but same idea... It may never hurt anything but knowing that's happening while in boost makes me wince lol. If anything, I'd be worried about the current draw through your BAP and the potential for it to kick the bucket mid pull and cause trouble...

Why not just put a pump that's up to the task?

It's not worth it to me, this gets the job done and has been for over 4 years. I would probably spend the same amount of money on a new fuel pump as I would on a junkyard 5.3 if this ever blew. And in my time spent on car and truck forums, it seems pretty far down on the list of likely failures. I would put it below valve springs, G80, 4L60E clutches, pushrods, driveshaft, output shaft, and timing chain.

So it is hooked up in series. The way you worded it, it sounded like it was in parallel.
