Default Max boost for a stock 05 gm truck maf

Been slowly getting everything I need and now I've completed the fuel system added a IAT sensor and bought a 2 bar map sensor. I've got the 10lb spring in and was wondering if that's going to max out my MAF. If so what's a good aftermarket one.

i think you are fine but you can always go SD and get rid of that MAF.

why are you still using the maf if you have a 2bar and external iat sensor?

Just dont have a tuner on hand and if I remove the maf it won't be driveable I till it's SD tune correct.

That is correct.

The MAF doesn't read boost, only airflow. On that note it depends on engine size cam etc on when it will max. I believe your MAF maxes out at 12,500hz.

I was coming very close to the max frequency with 6-7psi of boost. However I heard it takes a lot of extra airflow to get the last bit of frequency. My MAF actually blew in half around 7psi so I switched to 2bar SD.

Yeah I thought the truck wont run right with a 2 bar MAP because it gives different readings than the stock one?

So you have the turbo setup in it with a stock tune? Just wondering over here

You need to adjust the values that the PCM uses to convert the MAP sensor voltage into manifold pressure. If you use a 2bar MAP sensor without adjusting these values the PCM will think the manifold pressure is half of what it actually is. It might run, but not correctly, and no way should you drive it like this.
